It’s been more than a year since Taiwanese pair Fang Chieh Min-Lee Sheng Mu made it to the finals of a Superseries event.
The last time they were in a final, they won back-to-back titles in the 2010 Indonesia and Singapore Open.
Although their form have suffered a little since, the Taiwanese duo remain very much a top pair in the world and with several top seeds already out of the tournament, Chieh Min-Sheng Mu have set their sights on the title.
“It’s really been more than a year since we entered a Superseries final because our form have dropped a little,\" said Chieh Min.
“But there\'s nothing much we can except to remain patient and hopefully wait for the right time. This time we\'re ready to be winners once more.”
The pair have been in smashing form en route to the final, taking two of China’s younger but equally dangerous pairs - Hong Wei-Shen Ye and Liu Xiaolong-Qiu Zihan as well as fifth seeds Mohd Ahsan-Bona Septano and sixth seeds Hirokatsu Hashimoto-Noriyasu Hirata.
The will take on rising Korean pair Cho Gun Woo-Shin Baek Cheol in the final later today.
However the Koreans who have been in fine form themselves will be out for blood after losing to the Taiwanese in the opening round of the Korean Open last week.
